Based on data from weekly trader polls, an autonomous bot that has been outperforming the crypto market has a bullish slant for Ethereum, Solana, and two other smart contract altcoins.

Mortiz Seibert, a quant analyst and hedge fund CEO, co-created the Real Vision Bot as a tool to get alerts and evaluate trader sentiment from consumers of the financial information platform Real Vision.

The bot has an ‘astonishing’ track record, according to Real Vision, surpassing the aggregated bucket of top 20 cryptocurrencies by more than 20% solely by surveying trader preferences.

The top ten most popular crypto assets have shifted slightly since last week, according to the latest survey data. Traders continue to favour a portfolio that is heavily weighted on Ethereum (ETH), with 39% of respondents choosing ETH as their top coin to invest heavily in.

In comparison to last week, the current survey findings reflect a small reshuffling of the 12 most popular crypto assets. Traders continue to choose a portfolio that is heavily weighted on Ethereum (ETH), with 39 percent of respondents naming ETH as their top coin to go heavy on.

Bitcoin (BTC) and Avalanche (AVAX), a smart contract platform, tied for fourth place at 23%.

Polygon (MATIC), a multi-chain scaling solution, and Polkadot (DOT), a cross-chain interoperability standard, trailed in the rankings.

Terra (LUNA), a stablecoin-focused oracle, Chainlink (LINK), and Binance’s utility token BNB rounded out the top ten crypto assets.

Cardano (ADA) and Elrond (ERR) were close behind as scalable decentralised blockchain platforms (EGLD).

This week’s losers included the virtual gaming world Decentraland (MANA), the sports-focused Chiliz (CHZ), non-fungible token (NFT) integrator Enjin Coin (ENJ), and the scalable blockchain platform Fantom (FTM).

Participants in the Real Vision Bot’s polls are not required to own the cryptocurrency in question in order to vote for it. Moritz Seibert, the bot’s co-creator, described it as a “hive mind” capable of outperforming other entities in the crypto ecosystem in an interview with Real Vision.

“This bot is really fascinating because it started as a research project, where we linked it up with a Real Vision Exchange to run paper portfolios based on weekly surveys, where what we wanted to find out is if there’s a Real Vision hive mind that can beat the markets and that can also beat the interviewees, the professionals that are interviewed on the Real Vision platform.

And so, as it turns out, there is a hive mind crypto portfolio that’s far ahead of the bot run crypto portfolio and the experts and the market.”
